FINALLY - SOMEONES WHO SPEAK THE LANGUAGE

Jeff and Tina arrived on Wednesday.  We first met them in Quartzsite last January.  They are fairly new to full timing but are venturing out.  Canada!  Eh-land as our American friends call it.  They were nervous about "crossing over" but it was no problem.

They spent three days with us here at Monck Park.  They planned their visit so it would coincide with Doug and I's days off.  It was like a little holiday for us too.

We took them for lunch at the historic Quilchena Hotel across Nicola Lake from the park.  Lunch was lovely, the weather was lovely, and the company superb.

We had a BBQ for them on the second night and took them sightseeing, out for Chinese food and then to Doug's brother and sister-in-law's house just up the road for dessert.

They've ventured on now and are planning to do a loop from here to Jasper, Edmonton, Calgary and south from there.

Good friends around a fire, talking full-timer.  Ahhh!
We have just two weeks left working in the park and another month on this side of the border before we can speak full-timer everyday.

If it wasn't for blogs and forums I'd be going crazy by now. I don't get to be a full-timer anymore, I'm going to be a half-timer, but I still speak it. As the guy doing my conversion quickly learned. :)

Sound like a wonderful visit.

I understand exactly what you're talking about. It's a small unique little circle with a language only known to them!

I can so totally relate. Two weeks from tomorrow we will be back on the road again. AT least for a little while.
