MYSTERIOUS WI FI

Tell me anyone.... how could we be receiving this
Wi Fi signal?  We cannot even get cell phone service here.  No cablevision...nothing and yet for hours at a time, at different times of day, we get this really strong signal.  The closest houses are a mile away and when we pass in front of those, their Wi Fi is secured.  There is a new subdivision happening across the lake but that is at least a mile away.

Anyhow, we are happy with it.  And we are happy.  Enjoying the solitude.  Weather is off and on.  Sunshine, showers and wind.

Perhaps, someone has a real strong open router. Maybe they turn it on to use it certain times of the time. Either way it really doesn't matter as long as you get to use it. Good for you!!

Good to hear you two are alive and well. I tend to agree with Jeri. Someone could have an open router. That isn't unusual. Do you have a booster? If so, that would also be a good guess.
Just enjoy your free WIFI. Not much in this world is free.

Now you just need a beeper that tells you when the strong signal is available. :)

Ours is not to reason why, ours is but to do or die. Enjoy and keep posting. It's great to hear from you once in awhile and know that you are doing okay.

We think that the signal is coming across the lake and when the lake is smooth and shiny the signal bounces to us.

You should not look a gift horse in the mouth! :} What a strange thing? You suppose that there's a satellite floating around above, that whenever it passes over, you get a signal? Whoooo ooooh ohhhh! Nothing new here. Going to Vegas tomorrow and leaving for Nebraska on Friday. Wind blows and then it doesn't. Have fun up there!
