Chiming in.... another guest blog by Doug.

Our stranded existence out here on the wet coast is mostly a workaday experience very similar to our previous life in stix'n'brix.

An hour to work in cramping traffic, eight hours of stuff I've done for most of my working life and then an hour home if I'm lucky and nobody has  tied up the freeway by getting killed or injured or both during their daily commute. Then do it all again the next day. Hmmmm... sounds like I'm depressed.

Well there are compensations,  the children,

                                                                              the grandchildren,

                            the scenery
on the very occasional sunny day and as always Toni's cheerful face at the door.

We have made plans to leave soon after Christmas but that seems a long way off
....I am after all just a petulant child...... this song pretty well says it for me......

You make me thankful I am not a Canadian who has to wait out my six months before I can travel again. Except I am, of course, actually doing that this year. :)

I know how plans go. Everything is subject to change. The traffic is something I sure don't envy you with. That can be a real mess. Hopefully, it'll be sooner than you think and you'll be on the road south again.

You need to get a countdown clock! It will take you mind off the traffic...I think.
