AFTER FOUR MONTHS IN MERRITT.....WE ARE OUTTA THERE!

Okay, now we are on our way.  Hey "south" is "south".  Yes we have to take care of some things in Langley for a few weeks but we have started, haven't we.

It was really exciting this morning.  I had almost forgotten how to do all the getting ready for departure things.  So we went from here....  to here......
We all make this comment but it is very strange going back to somewhere so familiar and yet feeling like you don't belong.  This is a big city and there is traffic and noise and.....but for now we are really happy with cell service, internet service in the rig and television - 52 channels of it.

It was a beautiful day for a drive.  American friends - this is the Coquahalla Highway from Merritt, British Columbia to Hope, British Columbia.  When we traveled it regularly we took the scenery for granted.  Somehow it is more spectacular now.  Great time of year too.  Soon it will be buried in 5 feet of snow.
Fresh snow

Glacier marks on the mountain

Sunny and relatively warm at almost a mile high

This is called "Great Bear Snowshed".  The highway goes through it.  In the winter it is covered in snow.

We are waiting for Graeme to come over and then we three, and Graeme's friend Michael, are going out for fast food.  Moving is exhausting.

Oh yeah, a cat story.  We had no milk this morning for Buzz, the cat.  When we put out water! for her, she turned her back to it and.... put her tail in it.

So glad you guys finally got to move - just like us. Feels so good. The thought of five feet of snow just makes me shake.

Yay for busting out! A move is a move. Each one starts somewhere and goes somewhere else no matter what the distance is between them.

Thanks for telling us about glacier marks on the mountain. I would not have known that's what those are. I found that brought very specific images to my mind.

The Coquahalla Highway looks absolutely lovely! Glad you are on the road again...it will all come back to you real quickly!
Poor Buzz...you two better start making her a priority or you may be sorry. She will turn her back on you next...:)

Fantastic photos and the one of the cat was precious! I understand about moving. We are starting to watch the watch through the mountains out of here. Before you know it the snow will come and we want to be long gone before that!
