We go grocery shopping - yeah we actually have to go to a "grocery" store not Walmart because Supercenters are just starting to come to BC. We visit. We visit the children when they can fit us in their busy lives. We visit my mother in the nursing home. Oh, that's fun. I certainly can't blog about that.
My Mom last summer |
But mostly we spend time with Graeme. Yesterday, Graeme and I did a tour of thrift shops. When Doug and I had our eBay business we spent my day off doing a route of thrift shops in neighbouring Abbotsford. Yesterday was all for Graeme. A leather jacket, 2 pairs of pants, 3 t-shirts and a shirt. He had such a good time. I took him for lunch at A & W. Doug stayed home for some much needed rest.
Graeme - but he's not so sad anymore |
Today our nephew and his partner are supposed to be dropping by on their way from their place in Armstrong to Vancouver. This park is right on the edge of the freeway (yeah, I know but pretend it's the surf and it's not bad) so visiting is easy.

Today I am also going to visit our former butcher. Their shop grows their own, butchers their own and there is nothing like it. And I am going to do laundry.
THERE, I posted and now you can all have a "Steve" because I have half put you to sleep.

We know just what you mean about blogging when sitting in one place. Fortunately this place has tons to do! With the gas prices going so high, I think most of us will be sitting for long periods of time. Enjoy the down time!
I posted a list of our errands, too. Aren't we a sad bunch this year? Remember when everyone kept telling us to slow down and enjoy life more? What did they mean by that? At least when we were traveling every couple of days we saw great things to blog about.
Some ordinary days are really, really nice to have. I think when we first start out we don't have enough of those and then we start to even it out a little bit. We're probably going to be running nuts this next week and I'll probably be glad for an ordinary day. So enjoy them while you can.
And what's more worthwhile than visiting Mom and taking care of Son.
You can't be interesting all the time! Then that would be boring too. Glad you're getting some family time and rest. The hitch itch will hit soon enough.
Now I knows why Canada is a whats known as a four-in country. What kind of soil do you got up their that ya can grow yer own butchers? Where me and Nilda is from, the dirt was so hard ya could hardly pound a knife into it, let alone grow anything, and up their ya got butchers sproutin' like weeds from yer dirt.
I herd that they'ers a lot of rain in that Bracktish Columbine place you live. If that's what it is, maybe I should start followering yer blog and undercover some more interestin' facts from what you wright.
Case yer interested, which most people ain't, me and Nilda's got a blog, here.
I.M. is who I am.
