Catching Up - Leaving Savannah, New Axle, Valdosta and Blackwater River

I have a bit of catching up to do.

We got the new axle installed in Richmond Hill, GA on Wednesday November 3rd.  Doug really didn't like the attitude of the mechanic but the work seemed satisfactory.  The axle was paid for by warranty and we could have the labour reimbursed if we sent the old one back.  The cost to do so was going to be only a little less than the labour so we left it.

We were happy to be back on the road.  We were not going to be able to make the launch of the space shuttle so we headed west instead of south.  We made it to Valdosta Georgia and stayed at the Walmart there.

We had an easy drive the next day and made it to Blackwater River State Park near Milton, Florida.  This is a very small park, but very nice.  Large sites, level sites, clotheslines, but no laundry.

There are lots of trails.  This one starts with a boardwalk that connects several pavilions.  You can rent these pavilions for parties, weddings etc.
Parker enjoyed the view from the pavilion.

This is one gorgeous picture of one handsome doggie.
