CYPRESS HILLS INTERPROVINCIAL PARK - Not All Its Cracked Up to Be

Just a short blog tonight as we are witnessing Mother Nature's scorn in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and I may lose the internet any time now.

We spent last night at Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park.  Doug has wanted to go there for years.  Well let me tell you, even without the horrible weather, it's definitely not all it's hyped for.  It costs $25.00 to get into the park and $28.00 to camp plus $6.00 extra if you are out of province.  The campsite is in a deep dark forest.  Uneven sites, gloomy, gloomy, gloomy.

Huges funnel clouds on the way in.  <<<<<<<<<

Huges puddles and this was early on in the storm>>>>>>>>>>

Anyhow, although we were on the wait list for another site to stay a week, we left the next morning.  We are currently in Swift Current and the weather isn't much better but it's not gloomy.

Those funnel clouds look really dangerous. But maybe if the sun was shining the park would look better? Kind of pricey though.

Ouch! I don't think we'll be visiting that park.

And then we came here to Swift Current SK and boy did it rain. Washed the rig and the truck though. Today the sun is shining but it's not warm.
